I am Miguel, working since 1992 in this crazy world of travel, tour operating and hospitality.
Very soon I realized that this business of travel & hospitality, is not like any other business. It needs an extreme customer focus and a continuous re-thinking of what you are doing.
I have a Master degree in communication science, and I always had a passion for tourism. My first job was receptionist in a luxury hotel in Belgium. In 1993, I switched to Neckermann as represenative in Greece and in Spain. Later in 1996, I moved to Germany to be a product manager for Bucher Reisen. In 2005, I came back home, to join the E-commerce team at Thomas Cook Belgium.
I have collected more than 23 years experience in travel and tourism, have slept in hundreds of hotels & resorts. I have travelled al lot in my life and i've been many times around the world. I am a passionate presenter and speaker and speak Dutch, French, English, German fluently. I also have notions of Spanish, Greek and Thai.
Somewhere in 1998, I started to write down things that struck me during hotel visits or during my frequent stays in hotels around the world.

There is no magic formula to make customers happy. You know your customer. I have hundreds of ideas to make them more happy. Together we can achieve happier customers by joining our knowledge and keeping the improvements going. There is always another step-up to take.
